Are there any plans to implement Domain Format or at the very least 4-player free-for-all duels into Omega?
Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion.
Currently Domain format is a niche format, with hyper specific, currently non-supported rules. The concept of a deck master doesn’t not exist and would have to be created from scratch. Because of this, there is a Larger amount of work that would have to be put into in order to simply get this working.
At the moment the level of effort, as well a the player base that would leverage this, does have this high up on the list of priorities at the moment.
Free-for-all, or 1v1v1v1 would also require an entire restructure of not only how the field layout would appear, but how the game rules operate. There is no hard and fast rules for this like tag or relay duels which at the very least have either written rules or video game analogues which are officially produced by the source content.
As such there would be a lot of interpretation, discussion, and that’s even before the system would, again, have to be made from scratch. As such this is something that would be better done in paper play rather than on a sim which requires expressly programmed states.
While this is not saying none of these will be created, the reality is something we want you to be aware of.
At this time there is no ETA or list that these feature additions are apart of.
Thanks for your reply. I was just asking since there are no Yu-Gi-Oh dedicated simulators that support 4-Player Free-for-all, not even on manual mode, but i understand how difficult it would be to scale a 2 player game to a 4 player game. If this ever would be implemented I, as well as other players of the format, would be happy just with it being manual-mode. At least for us, there would be no need to implement the code about how cards work in a 4-Player setting since we play with our own rules. Thanks for the consideration.
