I agree.
for a start, if not done already, maybe add keyboard-only controls to do all the actions, could be based on the UX the official games have used since practically forever.
not sure how easy or hard it is to actually read controllers but the UX would already be there and people could use things like joytokey in the meantime

I’ve been wondering about controller support myself, having more options is always nice, and it might ease mobile control interface development (or at least provide an additional option) since controllers like the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller can connect with Bluetooth.
