Bugged? interaction with Weather Painter Thunder and Skill Drain

    There seems to be a bug in which the weather painter cannot activate its effect under skill drain, I should be able to send a continuous trap to the graveyard (which usually is skill drain) to place a weather continuous spell/trap from deck.

Play skill drain, activate skill drain, summon the weather painter thunder.

  1. Expected behavior
    [Tell us what should have happened when the bug occurred.]
    The weather painter thunder should have sent skill drain to the graveyard as cost, and since on resolution the skill drain is no longer on field the effect should go through, instead skill drain was untargetable by thunders effect.

I tested this interaction in YGO Omega. Thunder can successfully send Skill Drain to the GY to place a “The Weather” Spell/Trap from the Deck.

If an effect such as Dimensional Shifter or Macro Cosmos was applying, you would not be able to use Thunder’s effect here. This is why we ask for actual replays, to confirm that you tested the interaction properly.
