Bug using Limiter Removal + Sonic Boom

  1. Bug description
When using Limiter Removal, and then, Sonic Boom or viceversa, the attack of the monster is not getting the second duplication of the ATK.

  2. Bug reproduction steps

    1. Set the Sonic Boom trap
    2. Summon any Mecha Phantom Beast machine monster with ATK>0
    3. Use the Limiter Removal → The attack of the monster will double
    4. Use the Sonic Boom trap selecting the machine monster → The attack does NOT double
  3. Screenshot OR error code

  4. Expected behavior
The attack of the monster should double the current attack anytime an effect is activated to duplicate the ATK. Eg → original attack is 1000, the first doubling produces ATK = 2000, so then, the second duplication effect produces ATK = 4000

  5. What OS are you using
    Windows-10

That’s not a bug, that’s you not reading sonic boom. Sonic boom sets the monster’s atk to double its original attack, overwriting whatever atk limiter removal would have made it, and makes the target unaffected by other spells/traps, including limiter removal. Therefore, limiter removal is useless when used with sonic boom

Theres a few other factors at play too. Sonic Boom sets the monster’s atk to double its original attack. As such, if applied after Limiter Removal, it will set the monsters atk to double its printed, original attack, and not reapply Limiter Removal’s atk modifier.

The below link covers all sorts of different atk/def modifiers and how they interact. This type of effect is covered in Section II.
