Hello, what resolution should I put custom card art in to customize the Anime Card Layout? Using the default 624x624 creates a very blurry image, as the aspect ratio of the Anime Card Art does not seem to be 1:1.
The program already resizes the artwork. That looks like metal armored bug. You can change the layout to anime but given that the aspect ratio of anime art is already not a square, the art is going to look stretched always. There’s nothing we can do about that. It shouldn’t be blurry though unless the original art is blurry.
When downloading the original Image from ygoprodeck and setting it as another card, for example I chose Blazing Inpachi, then you can see that the custom art (624x624 jpg) is blurrier than the default card Metal Armored Bug.
When setting an image with a different aspect ratio (for example I chose 570x600) then the custom card art gets less blurry, so I thought there was a target resolution for that.
I think the better way to think about is that you can use as high of a resolution as you wish. Omega uses the highest resolution art to make it look the best. I do not know for certain what that exact resolution is, however, as you have demonstrated, it is higher than 624x624.
From my looking in chats in our server, I believe our dimensions are 644x644, however, I’m not sure if that is the DISPLAY resolution of the card, or the stored resolution of the card. If you use a 2000x2000 resolution image it’ll have more data to work with when downsizing to the 644x644.
